Application
During the thermic treatment of the PES fibre dyed with disperse dyes, thermomigration occurs at temperatures over 120℃. Depending on the type of dyestuff used, the thermomigration can be stronger or weaker. The thermomigration, however influence fastness, especially the washing fastness,negatively. This problem could occur at the finishing of PES and its blends fabrics. The use of Goodfix TH with Catalyst TC in the finishing could improve the washing fastness of most disperse dyes, especilly AZO types.

The usage concentration could very between:
4 - 8 g/l Goodfix TH
2 - 4 g/l Catalyst TC
Examples for resipes:
1. Resin finishing of PES/cellulosic fabrics:
60 g/l reactive resin
20 g/l Goodsoft ASR
10 g/l Catalyst for resin
6 g/l Goodfix TH
3 g/l Catalyst TC
padding, drying at 120℃, heat seting at 150℃for 2 - 3 min.
2. Finishing of 100% PES fabrics:
6 - 8 g/l Goodfix TH
3 - 4 g/l Catalyst TC
x g/l softener and other additives
padding, finishing at 150 - 180℃ for 2 min to 30 sec.
3. Finishing of PES/cotton knited fabrics:
6 - 8 g/l Goodfix TH
3 - 4 g/l Catalyst TC
x g/l softener and other additives
padding. finishing at 150℃ for 2 - 3 min.
4. For amending the washing fastness:
If the washing fastness is bad because of thermomigration, it can be improved without water cleaning by padding:
6 - 8 g/l Goodfix TH
3 - 4 g/l Catalyst TC
Drying at 120℃ to 3 min.
At the a.m. figures of finishing conditions, it has to be taken into consideration that the increasing treatment temperatures the tendency of the dyestuffs for thermomigration is also increased, so that the washing fastness received is increasingly difficult to control.
